I `ve got a CLE that has a grooved and corroded area at the water pump
seal. I plan to install a "Speedy Sleeve".

Does anyone know the Speedy Sleeve part number?

Also, where can I buy it?

thanks

It's a patch, at best. My machinist will turn down the shaft, plasma spray it with a nickle alloy that won't corrode and your seal problems are over. Call Robert Saunders, 713-771-0095. $200+ freight. Usually 2 day turn around.

I believe this is the part #for the sportmaster speedy-sleeve #"99087", it is size 0.873-.877 You can usely get them from a NAPA part's store.

Not sure if the CLE is the same, but I would think so. You cam measure it to be sure.

I know this was a long time ago, But I am having the same problem with my drive shaft on my sporty. Cause of the rust or pitting. The key way gives out. How effective is this fix? Just wanna get back out on the water.

Did you go this route Nelson?

Any special advise on how to install it? or anything that could be helpful? THanks

Monty Skinner repairs them. He turnes them down then repairs them with Inconel back to factory spec. He just did Two 15" ones for me.

I cant speak for Sanders. But Monty does not do prop shafts. and I
"I dont do the any more to many problems as they loose their temper and flake".
