Have'nt had time to finish everything yet, but here are what we know so far and I will add to this thread as I have time.
I will be adding the winnner of the farthest tow and be listing the round by round results from the drag races.
The winner's are---------
DRAG- ERIC SALOOM (ALLISON 1771) IN HIS BRUTALLY FAST ALLSION
TOP END- GREG CYRANOSKI (G-TRAIN) WITH A PASS OF 118 MPH!!!
BEST OF SHOW- RICK FISHER (DAMAGE INC) IN HIS GORGEOUS LIBERATOR TUNNEL
MOST TIME ON WATER- BRUCE LEONARD IN HIS CROSS FLOW POWER'D STERLING TUNNEL
WORST LUCK-CHARLIE MENDES (CAHARLIE M) SHOWED UP WITH A LOOPER POWER'D STREAM THAT WAS'NT EVEND DONE YET, THRASHED WHEN HE GOT TO CARROLLTON AFTER DRIVING 16 + HRS ONLY TO HAVE PROBLEMS. THIS GUY NEVER GAVE UP AND CONTINUED TO THRASH ALL WEEKEND (IN 100* HEAT) AND STILL TOOK TIME TO HELP DELAWARE RICK CHASE TRIM GREMILINS IN HIS BOAT.
WHEN CHARLIES BOAT DID RUN, LETS JUST SAY IT GOT EVERYBODIES ATTENTION!
LAST BUT NOT LEAST, KING OF THE RUMBLE GOES TO BOB ALBEE AND HIS MIRAGE FOR TAKING SECOND OVERALL IN THE DRAGS TO ERIC SALOOM AND SECOND IN THE TOP END RUNS WITH A PASS OF 106.
LUCKILY WE CAME UP WITH A POINT SYSTEM THE DAY BEFORE I LEFT FOR CARROLLTON IN THE CASE OF A TIE OR CLOSE COMPETITION IN GENERAL.
TO BE KING YOU HAD TO RUN ALL THE EVENTS. ERIC S. HAD MOTOR PROBLEMS WHICH ELIMINATED HIS PARTICIPATION IN THE GPS RUNS SO THAT LEFT US WITH ALBEE AND GREG C.
GREG WENT TO THE QUARTER FINALS OF THE DRAGS AND WON THE TOP SPEED CONTEST.
ALBEE WENT TO THE FINALS IN THE DRAGS AND TOOK SECOND IN TOP SPEED.
ALBEE WON BY ONE POINT!!
HOW COOL IS THAT???
Thanx guys and I will post more later.
Congratulations to all the winners!! You guys rock!!

Not only to those above who put on a great show of their abilities with some real nice rides, but to everyone who attended and made the event a success. I had one of the best times I've had in a while, even though I caught considerable flak from tha wife for not making a top end run:rolleyes:..LOL
Terrific job Gary and let's see.......362 days and counting;)

How cool is that!?!! Not real sure who did the voting or what the criteria was, but wow, and THANK YOU!!
There were some beautiful boats there, Hydro (man that thing is cool), the red and blue Cougar (never got to meet him, but pretty boat), Balzy's ride, I could go on and on!!
Again, what an honor considering all the beautiful boats that were there! That just made my day! Time to start calling everyone I know!!!
Thanks again!!!

Yep, your ears should have been burning :D
Actually the water was the worst of the day when we did the GPS runs.
Bob and Greg both ran up the Kentucky river to get smooth water.

Is there any place I can see a picture of Mr. Albees boat? I am trying to figure out which one it was .... I remember all the rest of the winners listed above. I was just curious to see what boat he drove. I've only been to two races so I am still learning who drives what boat. Thanks.
Damage Inc. not only was it great to be involved in the band with you..... I almost got a ride on the "BEST IN SHOW" liberator! Your boat is georgeous! Congratulations!

What did I win a can of ring free? ;)
I got in some very valuable test time. We did manage to cure the obnoxious 10 second red-line spool up that plagued us all weekend. Since we couldn't find a power pack without a rev limiter we decided not to attempt further top end testing and concentrate on hole-shot.
We've discovered that with a full tunnel for hole-shot the motor has to be real low and for top end it has to be real high, not much in between. We're talking a range of about 6-7 inches or more. The hydraulic plate that I'm going to install is gonna get a workout for sure. I may have to figure out a way to speed it up since it's a twin cyl style.
The 27 SRX we borrowed pulled the hardest. That is one wicked prop!
All that aside I think we had the most fun doing figure 8's in the tug boat's wake :D

PS The team was... (Thanks guys!)
Laker - Crew Chief.
Rob F. - Handling things in the pits and general performance consultant (new S&F member!)

Congrats to all. The only winners we didn't hear about yet was the total raised for the Kids of MAW. I'm sure Gary is going to post some numbers for us soo though.
Just to add a note...Bob Albee's Mirage is one really sweet ride. As we are looking to get into a Mirage Jaguar, He took me for a ride and I can honestly say that boat is down right awesome! Thanks so much for the ride Bob, had a great time hanging out with you and Angie, and learned quite a bit about the super stock class you race in. See you at Jasper, and good luck.

Thanks to all I met at the rumble. You would have a damn hard time trying to get that many great people together at the smae time on a regular basis and that is the truth!! I can't wait unril next year to defend my title although I have a bad feeling that repeating as king is going to be impossible and I have no problem with that. Gary, I can't thank you enough. Keep up the great work!! Get to Jasper if you can. I would like to see as many of you as I can. Later. Bob.

Here is a pic of my boat.
I met you and Scott at Jasper last year, and talked to him briefly at the Rumble. I thought you and I should keep it quiet, or Scott may get suspicious, since I was offerin you to be my roomie before the Rumble...remember.
