Yup we're back to the Baja! We finally received the rear seat, took almost 3 weeks on order, then a few more days to work out the frame to be able to have room for rear speakers and some storage. The frame was coated in glass then glassed to the floor. I'll have some more pics soon. We'll go to the DNR and get registration next Monday, I want to paint No.'s on prior to the clear coat. Still have some misc. hardware to get and then rig it. Got a line on motor possibilities at the Rumble, we'll know more soon.

It's taken a while! I guess I would suggest that if anyone is looking to do a project boat, it would be helpful to get one that has everything, even if the parts need to be refurbished, at least you wouldn't have to buy everything from scratch. That Checkmate the guy found in the barn was a good example of great way to go, had Boat, motor and trailer...just clean, refurbish and go! It's been a hoot, but expensive and time consuming!

I like the stripe job/gelcoat great, along with the dash. Next thing you know, you'll be facing the delima of sell or keep after someone comes along and makes an offer on it that'll make you raise an eyebrow like Wildman was a few months ago.

Scott, I know I could never do what you have done. That boat looks awesome. I still remember the pics from when you rescued it. :( Look at it now, it looks better than it could just having been rolled out of a showroom (Checkmate never did that nice a job on their paint). :cool:
