omc prop and setup help

im running a 175 crossflow on a 1979 side console 17ft mckee
its the whaler type hull.i know some of yall have played with them
it runs 48gps at 5500 cavp[late is at bottom of boat
when i trim up to build rpm it porpoises at5400, im running sst omc 21p,
in pretty bad shape, i was told by local guy to run jackplate wtih setback 8 inches pick my motor till starts loosing water pressure then drop down
a tad and to run a heavily cupped prop which of the omc 21 p props will give me the bite i need when i jack up, dont have much money for the prop so staying oem ,but open to any suggetions on this set up
will not be installing low waterpick up unless it can be done without coneing it .my guy said cone is of no use to my hull type and speed it will run

They should be readily available used in a 22 pitch at a low price. It will stay hooked up well at high engine height and trim. The OMC SST is pretty much just a stainless steel copy of the standard OMC aluminum prop. The Raker is a pretty darned good performance prop, even though its now considered an older design.
