Hey I know where a 16 ft checkmate is, with a blue decal trimless inline 150, I'm not sure what modle the boat or motor is, but from cell phone pics i can tell the bottom is not rounded, like a sidewider or tahiti. Where these boats good for high speeds? I seen one at smokin' in the cove that was pretty mean, but not sure if these one is identical.

Any Ck mate is a good boat. Just buy it if under $500. They are good. Just my take.

did it look like this sorry about the bad pic..this one is a predotor hull I repowered to a 200 and it would run mid to upper 70's but that was all I could drive it...but of course that was before I knew how to make a boat fast

if it is 16' its most likely a predictor. I ran mine into the 80's with a stock 200.

if its 17' its a vmate II and its a bit older and will still run in the 80's. both have a spall pad on them.

they made all sizes in the MX series. they are pretty light. im not sure if they had a pad or not.

the red and silver one here is the v-mate II. its got a pad and has a notched transom.

Had a friend who had a 16ft in the early 1970s.

Low profile, no windshield from the factory and real light probably a MX.

With an inline 150 it ran in the low 70s.

First fast boat I road in.

used to be a green metal flake mx 15 or so on my lake when I was a kid, ran a 1500 merc and that boat would FLY! Always loved that little boat.

Here's the one you saw at the cove. Same one in your link above.
It's a 15' V-mate.
Flat narrow pad bottom, no step.

that looks a lot like the green monster that used to haul butt around when I was a little kid.

I bet that boat there is a rocket with that v6 on the back

Here's my 1973 MX-16. Great boats. The earlier the year the lighter they were.

I had a OLD 18 foot Jetmate ..... did I say old.:) That boat flew over waves that looked big when the boat was going over them. Had a old 135 piston burner and old 24 bronze 2 blader. Boat had lots of strakes...4 on each side and Har plastic seats... hard on the hinney. But a fun boat and one of the best boats for the size and ride for the power it had.:) I miss that boat.... had lots of fun and alllways ran out of BEER.
