maybe he wants it to second as a dance floor when he is docked at ocean beach :)

how many 110 lb girls can it hold should have been the question

if superboats still has the mold for the hatch thats your best bet, It was a sturdy piece that im sure you could walk on.

there is no weight savings with thier hatch, it looks nice and might aid in aerodynamics- best to ask dirkpitt as he had one of thier hatches.

if you want a much lighter version we can make one for you as well.

I know Dirk's hatch was a sturdy piece and had 2 humps in it, it was not a plain flat hatch, to duplicate that hatch without having the benefit of the mold is time consuming- thats why its best to contact superboat if thats the style hatch you want and if walking on the hatch is important to you.

yeah i seen your 24 superboat there on this past labor day weekend , you were parked in the corner right in front of flynns

you had the best spot , where all the drunk girls have to pass to get to the boats , you needed a little dance floor that day :)

i have a flat race hatch on the p22,it a soild peice but i wouldnt walk on it ,i dont think the hinges would hold the weight ,thats your weak point, were the hatch meets the sides, and you will have to make some holes in the rear deck, and inner sides of the boat for hinges,,and its a real pain in the ass when docking ,theres no room to get around,so for 1 or 2 mph,and a racer look ,its up to you????

i would say there would be no point to getting a hatch u could walk on b/c thats just gonna add weight for no reason...a lightweight thin fiberglass hatch would help with aerodynamics and make the boat look alot cooler

thanks for the input guys, li superboat, i was thinking it would make docking a lot harder, but like ghost said look a lot cooler,

John @ Superboat still has the mold. He made one for a friend of mine last year.

go back to the manufacturer, it will be the most cost effective way, I had one resized once, it was ridiculously expensive to do......

You guys are crazy! Ocean beach is the place to be! Flynns can keep their $125 a night fee and no one even goes there anymore!!!!

this was on labor day weekend so flynns was packed and worth the money

the labor day weekend before that (last year) we started at flynns then hopped on a boat with some girls we met at flynns and went to ocean beach

i ill admit i did like ocean beach better , so many bars , the bar hopping was fun

now that i have a boat with a cabin i plan on spending a lot of time there this summer

sounds like my old days on the Lake Erie Islands.
Trick was to tie right to the main pier (as opposed to finger dock or rafting) and be on the boat right after the ferry's stop leaving for the mainland for the night.
Watch for hotties carrying their duffel bags and looking lost

I agree on the rear hatch too. Sooner or later your going to want/need to walk on it.
Plus a stripper pole is an option on most I've seen.
