45ss

Anyone know much about specs on OMC 45ss motor. Difference between race motor and a stock twin. IE carbs, porting , ignition, ETC. Need help. Any 45ss parts available out there.

I'm almost 100% sure 45ss is a std 60 hp powerhead, carbs etc, the special parts are the mid and lower unit.

There are differences in the blocks. porting IIRC is different as well as the rods.

Can you find us the port maps for a 45ss and a std 60?

I may have them but have to look them up. The SST 60 also used a different sleeve with no compression relief in it as the fishing motor has.

Hydroracer.net OPC forums would be a good place for more info on these motors as well. I think Seaway marine has some NOS parts as well.
