Don't touch or clean those keys' they'll delaminate. (eg:ammonia...)
DOM= Disk Only Memory?
That baby is clean!
This is the first new-in-box Atari 400 I've come across. Truly new, I never used it. I think "DOM" was for "Domestic".

I also have a 410 cassette recorder to go with it, new:

Some sort of control module produced by one of the Tier One manufacturers for automotive use. One of the managers I recruit for had it on his desk, I picked it up and was checking it out, he said I could have it.
I'm more impressed with your bicycle collection and pristine boat, but the computers and games you have posted all seem pretty cool too....do you ever play the old atari games and stuff you have? I'd love to get my super NES system and regular NES systems up and running again.

HEY! Stop posting pictures of your washing machine parts!
Man you guys up in MI must be real bored w/all that snow!
All of our snow went melty melty with the rain and 65* temps a couple days ago!
wot we need to teach you how to use the multi quote feature. I know for guys who have training wheels on their boats its tough to learn much of anything, but I promise you will like it :D

Domestic? hmmm; I need to look into that; was the international model different?
I've researched this. One thing that leads me to that conclusion is the stickers inside the European Ataris say "EUR" in the same location, as well as the Australian ones say "AUS", so I think "DOM" was for "Domestic". Remember that Atari machines were made in the USA in those days.
Did someone say BMX? :)

I have a modded 800XL that's equipped with the SIO2PC USB :) Very good stuff. Mine is internally installed too.
This is the reason I'm asking.

Will the US ROM's work in the EUR|| AUS Version?
Also; you may need this to boot S&F_V2.0 on that baby!

I've been collecting this stuff for a very very long time. Here's a new Atari 600XL (I have a few of these), and I have the Atari 1064 memory expansions for them too, new. These machines are great to mod.

In the 1940's the military built the ENIAC, with 17,468 vacuum tubes, weighed 30 tons, and used 160 Kilowatts of electricity.
The Atari's we're considering are orders of magnitude more sophisticated and powerful than that monster.

Yes; I know just kicking the Nerds in the nuts. :)
I believe ENIAC was original built for artillery ranging.
ps:I'm the biggest Nerd of all!
Yep, specially built to calculate trajectories. They spent 500 grand on it.
It could do something like 60 division problems a second.
I figure the thermal runaround calc that takes a couple of seconds on my laptop would have baffled it, or taken hours to run.

.
whats the back story then ?
.
.
i think im some sort of idiot savant
.
.
i only suggested it because one time my computer was working sporadically , so i opened it up and this is what i found
http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t246/cosmicRambler/Misc/ComputerBug.jpg
hence the saying "i get a lot of p..$y" :)

EnterCriticalSection(&JavaVMMutex);
Isn't this a Windows thread priority thing?
.
that was a good one , i was goanna guess it was coding but i wanted to be more specific
i was searching but not finding any good info
.
.
no way ! :reddevil:
when i was searching for the answer i kept ending up on forums discussing java code errors
i was reading it hoping i would learn something . my brain still hurts (not a joke , there is actual pain inside my skull)
im almost positive that i have ADD , and probably a slight chemical imbalance so i wont be learning that programming stuff anytime soon

I'm not a big fan of the Z80 (more of a 6502 person), but....
