Hey all,

Well, I spoke with Gary yesterday and all seems to be going really well at the Rumble. I however, had a different turnout of events.

I was cruising right along, fully loaded with music equipment and in Pennsylvania, needed to refuel. Hopped back onto the Turnpike, and my transmission won’t shift out of 2nd gear. I stopped the car, and found out it won’t shift at all – stuck in second. Checked the shift linkage, and that seemed fine. Can I diagnose a problem with a Stealth AWD tranny? No. Sucks for me, being that far from home when it happened. My trip was ended early, and my car was towed back to New York. The car needs a new transmission, which put an end to my continuing this trip. I did learn something though… AWD transmissions are very expensive.
In any event, I wanted to say I’m sorry to Skip, Bob, Kathy, BK, and any other participants in the Rumble band. Of course, I wanted to meet everyone there. Gary assured me that they have several guitar players there that would fill my spot in the band, and that made me feel a little better. Also, I overnighted some goodies for the Rumble auction, which should be there by now.

Hope to see most of you at Jasper.

Sorry to here about your trans trouble. But bet it wasn't as expensive as my friends son's audi a-4 the car was a 97 52k on the clock 2 k over warr. also stopped shifting looked for the dip stick found NONE looked in manuel sealed tranney bring to dealer
rebuilt tranney $9 thou plus another 1k for r&r. plus new tranney not downshifting rite shuddering as the car comes to a stop.getting the usual dealer runaround replace motor and trans mounts now there blaming the computer.

just want to pass this along in case any body has or is thinking of picking up a audi.

Not sure on an Audi but I had trans problems for over a year until we figured out there was a differential speed sencor. Rocl
