Got a little sick Monday

I have been going through a lot of stuff here lately. I have been selling on e-bay (my play money) and made a pile for the scrap yard. As I loaded the truck I laughed to myself that I might have $20.00 of stuff. Well I had to go by there any way, was not a waisted trip or a trip for just $20.00. When I got there I sold my stuff $18.52 :) (BIG MONEY) I noticed an outboard, whole thing! I asked if they had any more. And that I was interested in one particular one. The guy said I could go look in a dumpster for it, and if I found what I wanted we would deal on it. As soon as i got on top of the dumpster I spotted a 6 evenrude, complete. Then down in the rubble a 200 Mariner Mag II. A 140 Susuki. A 90 Yammi lower unit. A V6 Honda whole thing. A V6 Merc. All I could think was E-BAY. But I guess it was all junk to some one. Just about every thing I saw had a sale attatched to it, It was sickning. I have a good job and don't need money that bad, buy my God it is too easy to make it and make more than giving it away for the price of scrap.

drag that stuff outta there,if youve got room to sit on it,itll be valuable in the years to come.with the death of two strokes,and the expenses involved with maintaining the green engines or buying a new motor,theyll be plenty of people looking to put together simple power.

Ask Dave S about scrap he gets most of his parts and engines from scrap. I agree try and find parts. If you had room to store those engine parts in time will be NLA/impossible to find. I got a 4 evenrude from Dave he paid 17 dollars scrap that just need the carb cleaned. Scrap=treasure:DRick

I was doing was going to the Yard every week..... found some good stuff....Saved it from the china smelter.:D My best find was the 2 Mk 78s that had good powerheads.:thumbsup: The yard has stopped because the price has dropped but I still buy motors from local dealers.
