It is a lot of fun, but if you want to win it's also a lot of work. The hardest thing is to find a place to test. The set up that worked good on snow will not work to good on the grass. Sleds hook up big time on grass, and your only concerned with going 500' so gearing and clutching is the most important.
I've seen guy's put there tracks on backwards to hook up better. Be sure to strap the front and rear suspension to limit travel, this will help you get off the starting line. You will also need a cool down unit of some kind.
Good Luck

When I use to live up there in the cold we use to run the snowmobiles up the river every summer. Had a lot of fun doing it and I did have to drain water out of the motor a few times!!!!!:D

I had to strip my sled to the bone to get all the dirt out of it!
COOL PICS!Do you run on a 500 ft track?I have a 98 Mach Z 800 triple that i was thinking of running this fall.Any set up tips will be appreciated.Looks like the biggest problem is dirt in everything.Did you have to pull the engine too? Thanks and you have a nice CAT.
