hey guy, thanks alot for all you help on my last question. Heres another one for ya. I had my boat out a few days ago and i had two questions. The rest pinthat the motor sits on is adjustable to 5 different positions. With four people on a 16footer 85hp with would be the best to run at. I have previously ran it in the middle hole. Also some times when im on a high bank turn or fast acceleration the motor bogs down. I use 2 6 gallon portable gas tanks and the fuel seems to slos back when i jump on it. any body know a cheap way to fix this problem. Thanks for the help

Which hole you use will depend on the boat, motor and loading. Experiment to see which gives you the best ride at different loads.
The motor may bog from too hard a turn particularly if the floats are set wrong. Don't turn it too hard. It may also be that you are just putting so much boat into the water. May be nothing wrong. Does the boat actually stop or just run slower? I wouldn't think the tanks are a problem. Slosh in the tanks will not effect the motor until the gas in the carbs run out which would be a very long very hard turn! Unless you are very low on fuel.

After i switch over to a full tank the problem stops. I can take sharp turns etc. But when it gets a little below a quarter full, then the bogging start. The engine will drop rpms and no matter how much more thottle i give it it wont speed up untill i switch tanks or slow to an idle and let it "catch up." Also, it wont happen untill a little ways after the turn which makes me think that its sucking in air through the fuel lines. This convinces me it must be the tanks. any thoughts??

is this one tank or all the tanks? Does it bog in the straight at any time it gets low. If it never does it in the straight chech the fuel fittings when you turn the boat. Does it pull on the hose? Does it do it immediately going into the turn or after a few seconds?

It will bog down a few seconds after the turn on both of my tanks. It will also sometimes do it if its really low and i give it alot of throttle and the bow comes up real high. The gas mush sluch back in the tank?

Hard acceleration moves the fuel to the rear, as does the attitude of the boat underway. When you turn, not only is it all at the rear, but it all moves to one side as well. Is it possible to turn the tanks around so that the pickup is in the rear?
