We just sold a new 24 Banana to a former Banana owner.... and took his old one in trade....photos below.
We had two buyers wanting the same trade in boat, however the final winner lives on Long Island, NY...... and the boat will be going there in a couple of weeks.
His main boating area is Freeport, so be on the look out. The new owner has invited the factory demo boat down next summer for a weekend tour, so we look forward to meeting some of you S&F guys and gals.

Great looking boat.
Thanks....the owner has plans to change the Merc for an Evinrude E-Tec HO.....and maybe clean off the bottom paint to pick some speed up again.
Years ago, we built a 36 that the owner wanted bottom paint on and we had the chance to test it against a second 36 we built that had same power and no bottom paint....7MPH difference. I hope this boat loses the bottom paint.

The family is French Canadian descent and they are all into hockey....the father, grandfather, kids, cousins etc etc are on all kinds of traveling teams all winter, but they love their banana boat in the summer.
Their new boat is being finished now. It will have a black hull, with white bottom and deck and black bracket with yellow and silver bootstripe. The outboard is an Evinrude E-Tec and is being painted black to match the boat colors. The new logo will be stretched out on the rear quarter of the side. (Below) The colors will look a lot like the demo boat we had in Key West last month. (below)
It has White, Yellow and Silver for the contrasting colors. Two front bolsters with Livorsi controls built in and a rear three man bolster type seat and sunpad with the new banana logo on it. Cabin is 9 feet long, so when you first go in, there are two bright yellow couches on either side of the door, from there forward, the whole front of the cabin is sleeping area, so that is all white.....pics will be posted when it gets done.
This boat will be used in the Providence and maybe Atlantic City Boat shows in Jan and Feb.

I just bought a 24 twister. What prop were you running on the merc?
I have a 24x14.5 now but the last owner said the boat ran its best with a Drag 28x14.5
By the way good looking boat.

Thanks.....no actually it is from the Cigarette 24. Don Aronow was a friend of mine and helped me start the Banana Boat Co, as a way to write off my racing as research and development, way back in the 70's.
The big difference between the Banana and the Cigarette and the other 24 footers, is that we are a full 8 foot beam and they are 7.

No .....the boat he had the listing for was our 08 Demo boat. That had the red bootstripe.
The new boat being built now that is going to be used in the Providence Boat Show was $85K with trailer. This new one has the yellow and silver bootstripe....which color scheme are you thinking of using?

Up until recently the motor has always been on the transom, so we are still experimenting with the bracket set ups and even adding a lift jack to the bracket......once we get a good one dialed in, well post it here.

Nice......That was the same color combo that Don Aronow had on the Cigarette.

You got me on that one, can you put a lift on twin O/Bs, I assume the whole bracket moves??

You may want to consider some of the upgrades on the new boats that you could get for your refit.....Livorsi Monster gauges and color matched steering wheel for our show boat to go with the white, yellow, silver and black theme.
