He is more than half way to Carrollton as post this. His tow bus is loaded down to the max. It's so bad that his dog has like a 1x1 square to sit in, the rest is tools, t-shirts, and misc Rumble gear. He said 60 mph is his top speed while towing the Sonic with such a big ass load on the van.
He had just hung up the phone with Speedracer when I talked to him. I guess they already have a 40x80 tent set up for Ken Warby and his welcome center. They have a spare 30x40 tent left over, they're putting it up for whoever needs a place to sleep! We'll call it the "Rumble Inn".
The city just finished putting in more electric and water throughout the park. Now there is water available by the gazebo. So if you want to go to the Rumble on a budget, you can! Free tent space, free water, (shower), and electric!! Gary brought a garden hose for those wanting to shower outdoors!!!
Speedracer says that the water is perfect and there isn't a cloud in the sky!! 90 degrees right now.
T-Rex and Raptor were around Memphis last we heard and have been battling rain the entire way. T-Rex just happened to have his boat detailed prior to heading out too!(jinx)
Jimmy Carter is going to fly his amphibious air plane down on Saturday and land it on the river. We are trying to talk him into letting one of us tow his F1 V8 powered STV down to the Rumble so it's ready for him to race!
He says he might just tow it down himself on SUNDAY!!!!
I bet when he sees the crowd of people and boats, he will yanking that sucker back down!!!
