Is that from aquamarine? Put a 130 on it and you'll easily be into the 50's prob 60. Other people will tell you to go even bigger with the motor but a boat that small dont belong doing 70mph

had a 16 superboat closed deck with a 175 merc on it. I would say a nice 90hp would be perfect the 175 was too heavy for the boat Chris

I think a 90 is too small for that boat if u wanna go fast..175 is def way to big in my opinion...my uncle has a 115 and the boat runs in the 50's and the motor is perfect weight

If you want to run all day on a tank go with a 90, thats what I'm outting on my sons 17 Offshore CC. If you want speed go alittle bigger.

The V4 is def the best motor for a 16, great power to weight ratio.

this motor was on a viper and the kid had it runnin 60mph but that had to be major setup issues cause i had it on a vking( 3' longer and a lot heavier boat) and i ran 60 with major setup issues so it would be fun on that boat...
mragu- this motor would do good on that viper u got... i can have it in LI by the 22nd:thumbsup: and that bruiser looks good with a white motor:D... ill deliver to LI.. goin to rockaways for christmas should be there by the 20th:cheers:

The more people you ask for more confused your be
Years ago there was a 16 cc like your and the guy and a 115 evinrude
On it and I always thought that that was a great setup
With that motor it should run about 50 mph
Which is pretty fast for a 16 foot boat?

Mine goes/went 49MPH on GPS with the Tohatsu 90. Older Evinrude V4 is the way to go, thats my plan:thumbsup: I would think that it would be alittle faster with the V4 though. Mike

50-55 is plenty fast for that boat...the people who put a 175 or 200 and the boat does 70-75 are just crazy stupid and gonna get hurt..a lightweight 115 is perfect
