Hey...I'm new here, not sure if this is the right place to post this. I'm looking at an old speedboat on craigslist, considering buying it. The owner dosn't know make, model, or year. Anyone in here have any idea what it is?

I have SOME idea...lol. I recently got a '64 OMC 17 Outboard Runabout with a '69 85hp Johnson outboard on it. Then, I got a '70 Hydroswift 20ft jetdrive with no motor. This boating stuff is addictive! The OMC I can fix...needs core, transom, stringers too. The Hydroswift is a wreck...but, it was free. I figure I'll salvage what parts I can off of it and scrap the rest. In the mean time...you know of a 12 step program for folks like me?

%@*&!!! I missed it.
He sold it to another person before I could get the cash together!
And, for only $250, it was a STEAL!
Too bad, I really like the lines on the Viper.
Ah well...not meant to be, I guess.
Maybe someday tho.....

Somebody needs to quote that, lol.
Too bad you missed out on the Viper. If you keep your eyes peeled those things pop up all the time for pretty cheap.. but like said earlier.. Most will need core work... and you can rarely find one with the windshield still on it.
