Hi, just like to say this is a great site for info and well discussed forums.
i have a 383 chev in 19 ft stephens ski boat centre mount soft clucth arrangment. i will list the engine specs below. problem is i have slight evidence of oil in water, not milk shake but still evidence of water. i think the issue could be cam, overlap of inlet & exhaust valves ??
385 ci
4.040 bore
3.75 stroke
SRP forged flat top pistons 10.8:1
Crane cam 224/230 @ 0.50" 110 lobe centre (Z-274) grind #
World product heads Sportsman II's / 64cc chambers / 200cc inlets mild port work
Elderbrock performer II manifold
700Dp Holley carb
engine runs well, nice stong power out of the hull, very strong mid to top end power.
any advice would be great. cheers

Did you run a pressure test on the block after it was stoke clearenced? It sounds like a seepage leak internally. For a place to start. With proper adapters engine can be presure tested together.

Correction stroke clearenced. Did you have the block and heads Magnufluxed before putting it together, yes I check new heads also. Found issues with new components rare but has happened to me.
