heads shifting?

On a V4 or V6 crossflow, I keep coming across cylinder heads that have had the bolt holes enlarged. This is inevitably because someone stripped the threads and then drilled and tapped a bigger size requiring a larger bolt. if putting these on a motor that has all standard size bolts, is it possible that the head could "shift" causing damage due to having a little extra play? Is this something to be concerned about? I'm sure some of you have come across this.

So long as the alignment holes are standard (top/bottom outside edge) you should be fine.
