What's it worth?
My dad had this motor at one time because it was just like one he had on a Homemade Popular Mechanics bass boat. It is in original condition and appears to have few hours.

Merc did not make a 90 in 1969. The last year for the 90 was 1965. Even in very good condition, it unfortunately has little value. The flow design is standard crossflow, the ignition is the complicated dual points/coil, the motor size is 89ci. Even when stored in doors, the wiring harness often decays.
The best thing going for it would be if it was never used far from Henderson, its a freshwater motor

I thought they made a couple in 1966 but they were 950ss with thunderbolt ignition my dad had jeff baker clean the carbs on his 1965 90 15" four years ago the motor was never even broken in just sat in our garage now it's on our pontoon boat jeff and everyone was amazed how clean it looked runs like a rapped ape and idles better than a four stroke.
