Old Merc 150 on Sea swirl by the mall, 3,000$ Are these motors worth anything?

If in good mechanical condition no bad faults they go for up to $500 in my area. They are actually worth more as parts motors.

$3000 sounds pretty steep! Very steep! I have an old 140 i run and it has been a good motor, but when it is not acting right it is the biggest pain in the ass you can have!
