Project Triple Digits Is done and completed

Project Triple Digits is done and completed for 2008. After almost 4 years of R+D it's final over. I brought her as far as she can go speed wise, with out major modifacations. The project was about taken a ordinary 22 foot V bottom and get it to go 100 mph. So I elected not modified the bottom of the boat for more speed. It was a great time from the time I brought her home in a snow storm from NH in feburay to just this year at Mole Fest. I have learned so much from that deal and had so much fun that I purchased another boat for the 2009 year and will be a new project boat. It will be lighter faster and I will have aprox 75 more HP then I did last year. The name of the project will be released soon. The Sting Ray is for sale less motor, drive and steering.

I am adding some hp to my boat this winter, we're hoping for 150 mph, it will be the fastest 24' single outboard V - bottom boat in history.

Of course we are doing all of this on a shoestring budget, meaning there will be no major modifications anywhere, this will all be secret gear case shaping, stock powerheads, and of course we won't have video or gps becuase we are not going all out on the budget.

. Not at all. It was a complete success. It was a test bed for my Alpha drives. It was a test bed for a new wiring system. It was a test bed for a new anti corrsion deal because we run in salt water. Now the plot thickens. It was 2 yrs ago and "notorus" oxide was used. Is that notorious like Jessie James and Billy the Kid? Was the 14 MPH increase pre or post notorious? Could it be that the driver himself was in fact snorting notorious when previous test results were harvested. Injestion of large doses of notorious by the driver would answer a lot of previously unanswered questions.

Tell us the truth. Are you out of meds again? Has notorious been substituted for previously prescribed meds? Did the therapist recommend that you go back to the internet to continue the obsessive yet failed search for credibility? Did you get tired of your other fictional writings on other websites and decide to share another new novel with us here? Inquiring minds simply must have the answer to these and other questions.

I think you would find a much more rewarding career in the penis enhancement field than the Vbottom enhancement field. When some dope in texas was all over your case - I believe I was the first one to defend you. As far as my own boat when I owned a liberator something similar to your cougar it was easy to hit triple digits because they are relitively easy to drive. Paddad v bottoms take a little work and I apologize if it is not in your time schedule. You can rest assure this boat will run over 100!! I am doing it at my pace. As far as a calm lake. Some day instead of just opening your mouth come to lake Walenpaupak on the weekend and the make a judgement of what is calm or not remember fresh water is not as forgiving as the salt water you play in every day but of course you knew that already!! All I have said about Rich is that 1 - he is a real nice guy. 2 - Is that he deserves a chance. The fact that he will not bow down to some of the S&F gurus (like yourself) on here puts me in his corner even more. As far as meds I just can not believe all the computer tough guys we have on here but when I was on the island at molefest these same computer tough guys passed by but did not stop (jet skis where welcome) others who claimed they were thier but where NOT!!! they never showed up to discuss thier problems with me. one of the cool things about this site is you get what you give. Snake started off here being a douche' (sorry bro :) ) and he was treated that way. for the past several months, he has not and people here seem to have responded in kind.

That would be great Joe but I have been there with Rich running in his boat at speeds much faster than the posted 87.1 and was told I also was full of :icon_bs:. He has this deal with Greg so lets see where it goes. Rich can physically do this at anytime at this point. Everything is ready to go. Just waiting for the date and place.

More spin. Greg is not sponsering anything for the reasons stated. However he agreed to witness the event to give it creedence. The drive problem was not a real problem becasue a date and place were still not set. Rigging his new boat has nothing to do with his claim that his drive can be as much as 14 mph faster than a stock drive on the same hull. Just waiting on date and place. I believe Rich already has a member of this board who has agreed to drive the Team Shadow during the comparison.

Nobody is doubting his speeds of... as you say "near 100mph... or 'triple digits'" depending of course how you run the significant figures... One time I ran... yes ME... ran 7.8426 mph... I ran quintuple digits! People are apt to call him out because
A) he made outlandish claims
B) he called his project triple digits when he was able to get there on 634HP+nitrous (150-250 shot?:eek:)
C) he made a big stink about a test with a team shadow (your boat?) and nothing has come of it yet and greg is to blame for not calling back... like the man doesn't have better things to do than to travel to NY to witness some silly test that could be legit if he'd just post an excel spreadsheet showing all data recorded for each test on any given boat:rolleyes:
D) he makes an excuse as to why he didn't test his "new great drive" on his boat... something broke
E) he backs down again saying the project is complete. I guess it depends how you define complete... when you have a goal of reaching 100mph on a budget (don't know how a $20k small block fits into a tight budget...) and then can't do it but paint the boat and name it as "Triple Digits" well then... that is silly... plus it isn't logical to run a massive nitrous shot out of control on a hull like that to reach the elusive triple digits as he's seemed to admit...
F) if the test is ready and can be done at any time... then why don't you pick a nice day and do it? The scientific method is how you test... all conditions equal, one change at a time, record findings and all conditions... 2 way average speed... or even 4 way... up back up back to verify... 2 gps's and a radar if you want... same fuel load, engine, prop, ratio, load in boat, driver, wind, temp, water conditions, current, humidity, gearcase lube, type of fuel... optimize the stock case's speed... and then swap the case and lets see it:cheers:

The amount of time he's spent spreading his :icon_bs: and everyone has spent arguing and either ripping him or backing it up... someone could have made some facetious test results that atleast are BELIEVABLE... IE Boat A ran at 72mph with 10% slip at X RPM with my case and before it ran at 64mph with 20% slip at the same X RPM... "see my case helped reduce slip by 10%"...
However, he isn't smart enough to even do that... back when he made his claims... he could have thrown some theory at his numbers... wherever he got them... He could have thrown some theory at them, shown some GPS speeds... but he can't even do that... he'd rather troll...

my boat came from lake michigan , so when they shipped it i had them drop it in point pleaseant NJ , that ride was fun , i gues you guys are a several hours south of point pleasant

flynns is good on sunday

on fri and saturday you have flynns in ocean bay park and a ton of bars next door in ocean beach

if you keep your boat on a trailer , you should bring it to the south shore of LI one weekend

OMG!!!!! Powerplay the minute I saw Red Eye's Dock Bar holy s hit it brought back so many memories...I used to go with Phil all the time when we went to race at Kent Narrows. It is right next to the Fisherman's Inn and Crab Deck (best crab soup in the world). Kent Narrows, Maryland is an awesome place to party. That is actually Jimmy's home town.
OK Powerplay this makes 2 things you posted that hits home for me.....:D
Kent Narrows holds a very special place in my heart, it was our favorite race to go because of the crab festival.:D:D:( It ROCKS!!!!
