I've got a 75 Hustler with the 15" mid and the small gear case with the qicker gear set. I bought this motor on a Checkmate copy when I was 18, sold it to my brother a year later then a few years later he sold it to my cousin. To make a long story short a few years ago I got it back. I'm 37 now.The motor is on a Delta with a 23 pitch OMC race prop and runs over 60 mph.
It would be great to get the set 50,75,135 together for a reunion shot. Why don't they make motors like these any more ?
I've got the '75 Evinrude cataloge.

That was a spinoff from the 75 Stinger !!!! Both are great motors
It's a shame they don't build them anymore :(

I had a 115 at one time,,,, i think it was about 1972 , that the mid section went up and down like a hydralic jack plate. neatest thing you ever saw. Any one else ever saw one of those? Had it on a 15 ft Allison and it would run about 70 m.p.h. even way back then. It was fun going out lookin for those old tall mercs. you could spot one a mile away. All i had to do was keep the water pumped out of the Allison and I could turn'em around ... :-) ,, I later put the engine on some kind of little weird V bottom boat that flopped up and down in the front. Think it was a Hydastream but not sure. Seems like it was an Odessey ? That sound familiar? I don't know what even happened to that little weird motor . I later sold it to buy a 2.6... Big mistake !! I couldn't afford gas to run it up the lake and it wasn't as fast as the 115. LoL

Spares might be a good idea. I would like to find an original hi- compression head. Does anyone know part #s or casting #s. How can you tell the difference ? What spares do you have ? A flexplate flywheel would be cool too.
