A modern battery charger is a TSR (transistor switching regulator) system. It uses quickly switched pulses at frequencies from 30 khz to 100 khz, depending on the design. The quick switching of the pulses (for efficiency) will generate harmonics up to the 10th or 20th harmonic. Most of it is buffered out, but a little escapes as radio frequency radiation.

That said, the only time it does that is when it's running. The charger and rf sensitive equipment, like mercury motors and gps equipment, aren't likely to be running at the same time.

A TSR charger in the boat isn't likely to bother anything in the house, unless the boat is parked in the living room.

hope it helps
John
