wondering if i bump my compressing to 135-140 if i should retard my timming at all.. set at 25* presently.. i have sps bolts in it.. and modified the pistons to cool the bridge..also cut the reed cages to 260 style and using 260 fuel rail and air horn.. everything else stock... single stage reeds..

I don't thank it nessasary....I run 2fo's @ 25* all tha time wit 150+......But wit 40;1 oil mix(Thatz tha lightest I mix).......I do back off to 22* wit 300#s.....Juss to give ya an ideer:thumbsup:

140- 145 lbs cranking compression at sea level @ 25 degrees works greaton engines we build... If the norma ambient temps are 80-90 with higher humidity ( 75 + ) your safe as in ya mother's arms. If you have temps say 45 -50 and Low Low humidity you may be a little edgy for detonation...

thanks jay good to know.. i am running 125 right now..(and the temp is dropping so i might leave it).... which i beleive is becuase i use a set of stock 200 head gaskets that where laying around the shop.. which i assume are different than what i am suppose to be running on this motor cuz the part numbers come up totally different..
