Is there an easy explaination as to edit photos or add something to a photo like a sheep or something? I have several programs that came with cameras etc.. but how do you select what you want out of a photo and get it perfect and make it look like it is supposed to be there. Everytime I try it looks bad.

All your photos already have sheep in them

I don't have a lot of experience in that area, but the only software I have found that makes that kind of stuff remotely easy (nothing is easy), is Photoshop.

Extracting on object from a photo, and pasting to another is technically easy, just a matter of practice. I use Photoshop Elements. The newer versions are easier to use (more automatic).

When selecting photos to past to another, the most important thing to pay attention to is lighting, look at which way the sun is shining, and try photos from similar conditions. Because of lighting, some photos just can't be mated together. The other thing to look for is positioning, to look natural, the sheep should be looking into the camera, or gazing into your eyes lovingly:eek:. Here's an example

Another tip is to create insulting photos in your spare time, add them to Photobucket, then you can post quickly when the opportunity strikes:D:D

When your at my level of talent, I can complete a full days work in only a few hours, the rest of the time can be spent getting in trouble.

how do you trace the object you want to cut out without jagged edges? Good one by the way Pete. I did not realize my ass was that hairy

Which program are you using? You'll use one of the selection tools (some are automatic), some are better than others, some also have an edge smoothing tool. If your having trouble cutting something out, increase the photo size, 2-3 times if you need, makes it easier to cut out. You'll cut it jagged, but when you go back to normal size it won't show. I also like to work with large photos when possible, gives you more flexability.

I am using something that came with my pentax camera I think. I know I did not buy a program.

Those programs are usually very basic. Check out these suggested by Greg.

Most important thing to look out for is llighting lik transom stand said.

heres one i did last year with photoshopCS3. Center boats are bllurred a bit to much and the lighting on the checkmate`s a bit dark, but it didnt turn out to bad for a school project . Making the rooster tails from scratch were the hardest part i think, but if u wana just play around with sheep you shouldnt have to worry bout that.

the SW that comes with cameras does offer much. [except the nikon capture whick ids free with some of their hi end models] as a semi pro i use photo shop cs3 but photo elements is nothing more then a version of photo shop geared at photos only. at under 100 is a good buy and has several after market books to assist you.
