Hey guys. Just had a quick question about posting my rig for sale in the classifeds section. Im not a team member yet :((I know, I know, I need to get the lead out and do it) but anyway I saw on the posting rules the disclaimer that if you have more than 50 posts its ok to do it? Just wanted to check and make sure it's ok before I do it. Thanks.

You must be a Team Member (http://forums.screamandfly.com/forums/payments.php), Platinum Team Member (http://forums.screamandfly.com/forums/payments.php), or a Scream And Fly VIP (http://forums.screamandfly.com/forums/payments.php) to place ads here, however you may reply to existing ads.

If you would like to place a classified ad, please visit the Team Membership page (http://forums.screamandfly.com/forums/payments.php) for information on upgrading your membership.

It doesn't cost much, and all proceeds go toward the support of the site!

* Members with 50 or more posts here automatically have permission to post in the Buy and Sell marketplace.

Of course it's nice when everyone who participates regularly helps support the website. It seems to me that most anyone who lists an item for sale, ESPECIALLY a high dollar item would feel like the right thing to do is at least contribute as a Team Member, since ads here reach a very large and specialized audience, AND a TM is much less than an ad in one of the printed boating magazines or even a local newspaper who may only distribute to a relatively small pool of potential buyers of a marine related item.

As far as the rules changes, they were implemented to directly address the problem we were having with people registering and using us ONLY for free internet advertising with no other participation in the website. So Greg made the change that members with less than 50 posts (outside of buy & sell forum posts) could still list items for sale.

Registering as a Team Member is actually easier than posting an ad with pictures.;)

Registering as a Team Member is certainly easier and quicker than posting 50 times, too!
