what speed is everyone getting with a 2.5?

Im looking at buying a "australia bullet" ski boat, equipped with a 2.5 efi 260hp merc. what speed is everyone getting with, with the same motor as this?
im hoping to get into the 85+mph bracket. any tips for prop selection?

there really is no direct answer to this. there are guys one here with 260's from the mid 80's to 115+++mph depending on boat, weight, setup, prop, driver...etc. the motor is a very strong and fast motor on the right application, if that is what you are wondering, but without more info about your boat, most would just be guessing.
