DePue?????

I've been told that if I like boat racing, I should go to DePue. When is it and what is it all about. thanks in advance for any answers photos etc.

They run 3 or 4 races a year at Depue. The sign of the town is a carving of a race boat. That ought to tell you enough. The big race is the PRO Nationals. Week long speed fest. Some of the trickest motors in the world. 50+ HP / 80+ MPH out of 7 1/2 cubic inches. I have made the 18 hour haul at least 25 times.

This year Charlie Strang spent some time visiting on Saturday. He mentioned that he had to go to Indy for the NASCAR Brick Yard race on Friday, got a police escort into the track. Then he mentioned it cost him $14 to park and get in here. I asked which was better racing and he said he would be back Sunday....

Again...If you like racing, you want to go to Depue.
