pm RBT - he will be able to point you in the best direction (I believe he is GTA based)
if you need hull work done however, I would say do a search on "John Spaeth". from what I have read you might as well look for Yoda if you want to beat his work.
Cheers.

yes to speedmaster. ted has been been building, rigging and racing for 30yrs. that i know of maybe longer. I don't know if he's still doing the work, but if he still own's the business his brain will be involved and that gives you a ton of knowledge and experience.

Topgun is another option.
Dryland Marine used to be good, and may still be in the performance game. I haven't heard them mentioned in a while.

Paul at TopGun Marine 905-775-0862
I would avoid Ted at Rip-off-Masters Marine. He has really lost his touch and charges WAY to much to do anything.

Thank you all for the advice. I'm running a 18' Charger STV
with a 225 Yamaha Excell with a low water pick up and
jack plate. My problem is due to the acute angle of my
transom I can not get a great deal of trim as the two lifting
cylinders max out and the third wont' hold full power.
I'm hopping to have a custom plate made for in between
the transom and the jack plate to move the start angle
closer to 90 degrees.

Post a picture of your jackplate.
What kind is it....is it hydraulic or manual.
I have had this exact problem on the same hull and fixed the jackplate myself and got it to work nice by drilling new top holes and creating a positive angle in it.
There is also the option of just buying some positive degree wedges that go between the motor and the jack plate. Paul at topgun has the wedges and it is a very easy and cheap fix.

Hi there . I made it up to the lake and managed to snap some shots of my transom.
Please excuse the boat cover, it was a horrible weekend for rain and I didn't much feel like removing it.
I'm pretty sure I will go with the reversible wedge mentioned earlier but I wanted some advice.
I was also considering installing a 4"set back while the motor is off. I'm sure the power, steering and fuel lines will reach.
Question. Do you guys think it will work with the set back?
Will i benefit from the set back.
The wedge is a no brainer for me as any increase in trim will be better than the limited amount I currently have.
Thanks to all for your valuable advice
