Saw this on the Red River in Winnipeg near where I live. No idea what the story was.

Definitly not what you want to wake up to in the morning if you are the owner!

We rented three houseboats from Hontoon Landing for our Church's High School Senior trip.

We woke up early one morning to head for Silver Glenn and got excited about the half dozen alligators milling about and forgot about my Hydrostream Vector being tied up to the rear, bow and stern.

Just a couple of minutes later it felt like we went aground.

We ran around to the rear of the houseboats and found that the jet ski tied up with my boat climbed up on the "wing" as it was being pulled sideways and flipped my boat/sank it.

You could only see two ropes going into the water due to the heavy OMC V6 on the back.
It was a bad day.....

How in the world can you determine that's an I/O

reminds me of the time I was at a buddies cottage and walked down to the dock to take a dip and commented about how sick his wellcraft looked (after a rear power earlier that season)...well someone had forgot to put sealant on the depth finder unit that was just installed and there was a foot and a half of water in the back of the boat/Swim platform was farther below water than some of those wake board boats.

same thing happened to my friends as well. his was down on the bottom of sanford lake in the weeds. he thought it was stolen until he went out and tugged on the dock line.

A tow company lost one of their boats yesterday in the intracoastal. They were pulling a big boat and had a boat tied stern to stern for manuevering.... the rear boat got sideways during the tow, rolled and went down like a rock. rumor has it the captain was under for 10 mins in an air pocket in the hull...... made it out ok.... Boat is a total loss......

Our neighbors woke up one morning to find their boat had hung up on a single bulkhead pole bolt and sank. Years later, they are on vacation, my brother and I are cruising around in our little dinghy, and notice their 28' Lang looking real nose heavy, we got our dad, and sure enough, boat was full of water again, this time, was able to pump it out. They pulled that boat out that winter and it never went in the water again, engine was shot
