Custom built aluminum trailer

I am going to have an aluminum trailer built for the ski boat. I found these wheels that match the Impala. What do you think?

I don't really like them. But what they look like doesn't count, its how they look installed. If they match the car, should look pretty trick.
I thought red metal flake would look good on my steel rims. NOT! Looked like crap.

Something to consider is if you can run bearing buddies with them. They aren't meant to grease your wheel but to allow you to splash the trailer while the bearings are still hot. Otherwise the cooling sucks water past the seals.

I don't use bearing buddies anymore. They will leak grease into the brakes eventually, unless you take it apart and remove some grease. I use the Reliable Tool Co. Sure Lube system. I have a trailer here that is 12 years old and has 30,000 + miles on it and the bearings have never been apart. I do check them for end play occasionally. The trailer is worn out and the bearing are still good. Most of the top of the line trailers use Sure Lube or Posi Lube now.

Rather than me explaining it, just go to the link and look at the pic and explanation. it greases both the inner and outer bearing and will change the grease if you pump enough in.
