I've got a motor s/n number C239740 I need to know when it was made.I'm using the tuner and adapter to run a 1985 2.4 200 on and it runs hot.I first changed the adapter from the above S/N motor top and bottom with a new gasket,installed a liner (it does have a drilled can)still runs hot.135 with no thermos and as soon as it gets to 5700 horn goes off and temp on my gun is 180.If I install thermos it will run 180+ at idle in my tank.Water pressure at speed is 20 lbs.I changed the powerhead to a 1995 2.5 200 just to see if it would be something in the powerhead but it does the same thing and it runs hot also.Now I'm wondering if the adapter gasket is wrong.I used a 1991 or later adapter gasket and if this one is older that might explain the problem.Thanks.Brad
