But don't fret there Pyro, Skip will be all over you again this year with his Skater 18. Ol' Blue.........she's always a runner. I think I'll be puttin' some flower pots in her back seat just to make the ol' girl feel at home.:D Maybe even sneek a few 50lb bags of potting soil in the sides while I'm at it.;)
Will we ever see a race between Ken and G-train????? Every year Ken goes out trolling, but he can't get the G to bite. The train won't leave the station.:

You'll do OK as long as,
You don't run it anywhere but the sandbar,
You don't have to make any turns at all,
And there are no waves larger than a duck swimming by :D

Quarter mile drags. No 700' stuff at Hardy.

So, it's a difficult decision for me:
Do I chase my opponent from a distance?
Or do I get out in front and get smoked at half-track?

Are we allowed to drop a few buoys?

The stump downriver of the sandbar, and the upstream end of the sandbar tend to be the usual start/end points, right? Isn't it around 1000-1200 feet?

I agree with that one. Don't mess with a good thing. The marine patrol pretty much leaves us alone at the sandbar. They know we race. Start rubbing it in their faces by marking off a coarse and you're stirring up trouble that we surely don't need. There are very few places that you can race and not be bothered. Lets keep it that way!

Yes, and yes. The cleaver ran 117 on a medium-light layup ProComp with a stock 260. When are we going to test some props?

I'd kinda like to see how that 22 compares to Jeff's 23 Tillman Yammy. :D

Anybody got photos from this year at Hardy? I had a baby in the end of May, and have not made it up this year. I know, I suck.

Saturday was busy as always. The forcast called for a mostly sunny day in the mid 70's. The sun fought with the clouds all day, we even had a short rain shower at the sandbar. Consumers beach was already crowded at 9 am when we headed up river. When we came back at around 7pm., the gathering of boats was huge. A great day overall.
Sunday turned out to be a nice day. We finally did some racing at the sandbar. Pyro had a great day of racing. His hydrostream was running strong! The boat took a set and ran like it was on rails.......straight as an arrow on every pass. Nice driving Chad.

Hi Pyro,
What kind of camera and lens do you use???? I love the quality and color that is in your pics......all my equipment is Canon and a few Tamron lenses but after investing so much money into Canon I am still not happy with my pics, your pics are fantastic.

Pyro has a nice setup and he knows how to use it.

He has a D80 body with really nice glass on there he told me the model of the VR lens but i don't remember.

Thanks for the info. I had a feeling it was Nikon, the colors are much more vibrant in a Nikon than Canon. I feel like selling all my stuff on ebay and buying a Nikon. Yes, your absolutely right Pyro sure does know how to use it. Shaun's pics with his Nikon are totally amazing also. I am so disappointed I made this mistake with Canon and I just keep buying new lenses to compensate but I am still not happy. Thanks again.....Sue

It all depends on who's holding the camera and what setting they've chosen.
I take a LOT of bad photos. Those photos are very valuable, those are the mistakes I learn from. You've made no such mistake going Canon vs Nikon.

Patience and experience goes a long way...

I'll be posting my Hardy photos later today.

I take hundreds of more pictures than I publish. I am not happy with any of the pictures I took Saturday. I guess my mind was on other things and not the camera...

BTW, nice meeting those of you that I did.

Pics are great. (better than I could do) Looking forward to getting up there again. I miss the partying and the people. I used to go about every weekend and will again next year. Who would of thought a newborn could make your life change so drastically. I guess I'll have to start missing the birthday suit admiring now.:(

Thank's Chad for the complement on the Lib..

Yep, set-up and driving can over come a bigger motor any day. And you look to have that covered on both bases.
