My HST in the paint shop

Decided to keep my HST cause its alot of fun. So I stripped the boat and am replacing the floor and repainting the whole boat. What do you guys think of the new paint layout, Its going to be a balck metalic bottom and a dark grey mettalic deck and the center area gold. The gold and grey I just painted on the front to see how I liked it, not the exact colors but close.

I would do it like this and the white silver gray(like the mariner) and the yellow dark grey...

Yes decided to keep the motor, I got a set of bucket seats for it they are at the upholstery shop just waiting to be recovered once I make my final decision on the boat colors so I can make the interior look right. Good thing my sister is a yacht interior and exterior desighner cause I suck at picking out colors.

i definatly agree that black is the best color on an HST, either that or a dark red with orange/black stripes... like the one in the balz to the wall racing gallery.

I love the black also one of the renderings they did was black and grey, but in the florida sun I think I'll be burning my arm on the deck.

navy blue metallic (like my old z28) with silver stripes around the perimeter of the top of the deck opening, and some kind of silver design on the deck and sides also...

Thanks, good effort on the rendering, I'm not sure about the blue, the only thing at this point is if I like the gold or not or do that part in like a silver maybe. O deciscions, deciscions,

I'm checking the boat as I do the floor, haven't got the floor out yet but the boat it self is solid. someone replaced the floor over the years you can tell and they did a horrible job.

Thinking something like this also, a little different version of BigBoy's idea, Cobalt blue metallic and white, not sure on any graphics or striping yet but it leaves it open.

I love it, might reverse where you have the blue and white, making more of the boat blue... but it looks pretty good like this

Ok so that last rendering is the one, thanks for all the input.

The blue is going to be dupont "bright blue effect" Its a little darker than in the rendering with a bit of metallic in it.

Good thing that you know which colorscheme you want.

I'm going to respray my hst too. And yes there will also be blue in it (because my seats have a blue trim).:thumbsup:

Black is definitely heavier than gray.

They cleaned up the edges where there were chips but didn't go too crazy.

some pics of the hull just painted. Its hard to really see the blue right but when it gets outside i'll get some good pics of it, I think its an awesome color

It goes back on the trailer tommorow, about another week and the paint should be finished.

wife had surgery yesterday and i atayed at the hospital with her til late lastnight. hoping to have it ready for a run late this afternoon. cant wait to drive it. its going to be alot different then my vector
