I was wondering if anybody could tell a me or guide me on information on setting up a 40 hp mercury on 1648 alweld. The boat has a extended front deck walls and floor, covered transom and carport all installed by the factory. The motor sites on 5" jackplate. The motor has sixty carbs, sixty reedbox it also has been ported and polished. I am turning a 16 pitch Mercury Vegence prop. I am running about 46-48mph with two people in it, which is a little over 400 lbs. I would like to have low water pick-up kit installed on the foot in the winter. I would like any information on anything else I can do or where I could find more info on products. I also am fighting the boat porposing. I had put a hook in the bottom of the boat but, I think that slowed me down so I took it out. Any help would be gratefull.
