Scott, try the Budget Inn. It's in town which will put you about 10 minutes to the lake. From what I've heard it's not too bad.

Either launch at C33 canal on the south end of Alligator off of Hickory Tree Rd (just past Deer Run Rd, on your left), or at Trout Lake (off of Bass Hwy) and boat over to Alligator..

Unsure.. I am looking for one myself. I think there is one on the right side of 192 going toward Harmony from St. Cloud.

That is the ramp at the Lakeside Inn. You can use that one, but the ramp is not in the best shape. It's usable, it's just that there's a lot of sand washed up on it and you have to back down pretty far in order to get the boats off. If you've got 4wd you'll be fine. ;) (Not saying you can't do it with 2wd, but it may be more difficult.)

If you haven't been over this way in awhile, 192 is under construction and has moved over to the left. To get to the Lakeside Inn you must turn off of 192 right after the canal bridge and go to old 192. There is a sign, just keep an eye out for it.

How is the ramp on C33 (Hickory Tree Rd) I have a 24 ft Checkmate, is the ramp long enough to launch or do I have to worry about backing off the end of the ramp?

As narrow as the canal is, I don't think I'd try a 24' there.....I know it is tight with my 21' bassboat...
