Anyone have some pics of torque tamers and steering setups? I would like to see how they look installed to compaire to a future install..
Why would some people like dual cable over hydroulic steering.

You can steer an aircraft carrier with this setup, all the broken steering threads got my attention. It's hard to see with the cowl on, but this is failure proof. Any single component can fail, and it will still steer. Tiller arm brace, 2 stainless connecting plates, held together by four ARP 170,000 psi bolts.

while you all are on this subject?? I have new hydraulic steering (which has been bleed once) but I am still getting 1/4 to maybe 1/2" side to side movement in when I move the engine from the rear with the steering wheel held in place. The mid is a 3 unit trim (internal) from 2000 promax. I am assuming that the slop is coming from the shaft going down the yoke. Looking at a manual it would seem that the "sleeves" would wear out. Is this what I need to replace to get the steering tight? Thanks in advance for any help

Frank I would like to see more of that transom saver ?? like where and what it bolts to on the seat side?? The Action has something similar but is allot more crude than that.

That is normal. Both of mine do the same thing. I think it's the vains in the pump that let it do that. You, or at least I never notice it while driving.
