Gary great job as usual  I'll be looking at these pics for ideas when I build mine. Who's foil is that on your boat? I was thinking about buying one like that or one from Bob's.

Dave,

Thanks for the "". The cav plate foil is pure Carbon Fiber, there's a guy on FastBass.com who makes them.

Wipper,

It's like having a giant trim tab for launch and once your up on pad, raise the J/Plate up and the "Skid Plate" is no longer in contact with the water. Coming off plane makes a difference too as well as being able to stay on plane at lower RPM/Speed.

Roy,

LOL.........Nope, mine was still far different than anyone elses that I've ever seen............ I don't have time to copy, I just go out to the garage when I have a vision and make chips, besides, it's faster when you use your own ideas...........LOL

Gary,
I do that same thing, get a idea and start cuttin aluminum.
The differance between the two It appears from the pictures you posted that,
your plate moves through out the Jackplate travel as the links are always connected, Where as my trimplate moves from full closed to full open in the lowest 1 inch of travel allowing full up down motion of The Jack Plate, This results in full trim plate effect for hole shot and no trim plate effect after the first 1 inch of Jackplate travel. The other difference is I optained a patent for mine, A long time ago, That is still the best way you to find if anything like your idea is already out there.
