everything is bad...LI is really really quite too...depends on the types of boats sellin up there..people are still willing and able to reach into their pockets in order to have fun..they just aint reachin as deep anymore..used hydrostreams and checkmates dont drain the well as much as a skater either

The Capital Region Want Ad Digest has boats for sale listed that were for sale last season! Unless it's a special boat or a really special deal, I don't think much is moving.

Lake George seems less busy than last season, except for the last holiday weekend.

If you take a look around the fingerlakes latly you will will notice that its not just performance boats but all types of boats up for sale . People just dont want to spend extra money for the gas for a toy they need to put the money in their gas tank to get to work. But if you are in the market for a boat now is the time to find some nice deals! I was able to sell my Vking yt and buy a 21 Superboat and accually came out money ahead. I also just bought a 13' Boston Whaler with a 25hp Evinrude for my son (his first boat) for only $1000 over in Waterloo. You also need to remember that most of the lakes around here have a 45mph speed limit and people cant justify buying a boat that runs 70+ for a lake where they cant open it up. Thats why i do my boating in the thousand islands no speed limit and alot of different areas to boat. Try selling your boat on ebay it will sell trust me .

There is no question that fuel prices are having an effect...I have been home since 6/27 and with the exception of the 4th weekend (which was fairly busy), I have never seen Lake George so dead...especially on weekdays.

Did your v-king sell locally? The cops are not that bad if your watch out for them. I enjoy crusin around 40 and getting some air under the hull it gets old runin WFO all the time. The gas thing sucks but we will have to get used to it I am not giving up on having a performance boat due to the gas situation:D

I accually sold my boat to a guy from Watertown who does his boating in Maine . I wont give up my love for speed on the water either just need to tighten the straps a little bit in other areas to enjoy what I love. Fast boats ,fast cars, fast women, and good beer all cost alot these days .......But if you want to play you gotta pay .......THats what I'm doing hahaha!!

I sold my 22 Apache last July on the Boat Trader. Gotta be a lot harder this year with the price of fuel as high as it is. Post on this webiste. Your sure to get some response if the price is reasonable and you have a decent boat.

I have had lots of interest however when people find out where the boat is located its a fuel/distance problem. There is just not that many hydrostreams and or people who know what they are really about up in my neck of the woods:eek:!
