Mercury shifter to a Yamaha motor?

I want to shift a Yamaha motor, with a Merc. shifter. I did a search and found I can use a c33 cable, with a Yamaha adaptor on the motor end. part#6E5-48344-00-00 My question is, what do I need for the shifter end of the cable, to hook up to a Gen.II Mercury control.

Yamaha uses standard 33c cable.

Mercury uses their own.

The easiest thing is probably to get a Mercury cable and use a 33c adapter for the engine side.
