Checkmate just sent me these pics of the new wakeboard tower developed for the 24BRX. It was a custom built tower that only fits the BRX. It's also going to be available with speaker boxes, bimini top, and other extras. You can see that it also has knobs to make it easily removable. As shown, it will be about a $2000 option. I can't wait to wakeboard at over 70 mph! NOT!!

what a great way to ruin an otherwise nice boat. Why does every moron out there think they need a wakeboard tower on their boat?

These pics are not of my BRX. Mine has silver flake instead of the gray.

thats :icon_bs: roktoy and you know it. you are just mad that checkmate got one on their boat before you could get one built for your progression.

Maybe they want to wakeboard...want a sweet speaker mount, or do it just to piss you off:D
That boat is a pretty cool package.

All I know is that there's a bunch of morons out there buying wakeboard boats. They are all over the place down here in Florida. We've got dozens between the 5 lakes we live on. It's a tough market, and I can't blame Checkmate for trying to sell a few boats by adding a tower to a really nice boat. I'd much rather have that Checkmate than an $80+ thousand Nautique.:cheers: :iagree:

Not everyone uses their boat to just tear around on the water. Some people have wives-kids-friends and really want to have one boat to do everything and make the boating experience a true family affair.
I think it's a great response to the changing marketplace.

I just get annoyed as hell, I used to be a competitive wakeboarder....Many of the people driving around with wakeboard towers do not even know the purpose they serve, nor are they good enough wakeboarders to take advantage of them. Plus the other half is just pulling tubers.
I just think it ruins the look of that boat. I do realize it makes it a better all around family boat, but anyone good enough at wakeboarding who needs a tower, is going to be better off behind an inboard ski boat that actually puts out a decent wake, rather then the turbulant mess I see behind my boat or my brothers boat.

Come on down to Walled Lake 7/26-7/27 to the WL Wake Tournament. It's the biggest amatuer wakeboarding event in Michigan. Got a Rail Jam and even a Bikini contest that I'm a judge in.

Randy, Send the link to the guys at Checkmate. Might be worth their while to have it at this event. The guy promotiong it is a personal friend and would gladly have them bring the boat for demo's or showing in the lot. Plus I'd get to see it in person. :)
Here's the Rail (slider). People comming from as far as Cali to try this thing.

you can see up roktoy's point. to really need a tower you need a high wake and most boats just don't produce that. whats the wake like on the 24?
Wake boarding?....I thought that was for pole dancing at the party cove!

:(Oh great! One more dock-banging,ocean-making addition to the lake, and will they go in a normal course or direction,or will they just zig-zag all over the place so no one knows where the hell they're going next!:icon_bs:fun out!!:reddevil:
