Screw head went thru motor?

There are 3 screws on the butterfly intake, I noticed one had sheared off and assume went thru the motor after thousands of dollars damage had been done to the piston, head and that cylinder. The motor locked up and piston edges were rough looking but not sure if detonation accured due to fuel problem. The plugs were clean and had good water pressure. :(

Sounds like you got screwed. It's not unheard of, and does happen from time to time.
