OMC Primer rebuild kit?

Looking for the primer rebuild kit I'm told is available for this primer solenoid. Fuel is coming out around the manual lever, but I can't find anything online that shows a solenoid with a square top and manual lever?

Your local dealer should have them. I bought 2 over the years. the first one was the kit to add the maintenance valve since my old v6 did not have it and then I needed to by just the red piece after mine cracked. It is probably just the orings on the shaft that are bad.

Heh, the "dealers" out here barely know what an OB is. Very I/O dominated market. I'll just order it up from Bob at Bayou Marine, but I'd like to have a part number for him. Anyone have the kit #?

I may have a complete new primer assy, I'll look.

Normally, it's the red valve that leaks, part # 175158 is the replacement. The cover is part# 341073 and the gasket is part# 341297

Thats all u need,lightly lube gaskets with 50-1 or 30-1,:cool:

Do I need all those parts or just the 175158?

Depends on where the crack is, sometimes the cover cracks, sometimes the red valve cracks. For the price of all of it, it's wise to go ahead and replace all three items.

I had to buy the whole thing for a boat a couple of weeks ago. Man they have gone up retail is over $150. that's crazy!!!!
