I have two Mazco props that I have slung complete ears off of. I have a comp. Vector thats light, "prolly under 500lbs", and a stock 2.5 200 merc with 6" jackplate and bridged nosecone. I have ran the props very high usually propshaft 1/2"-1.5" above the pad but come on. I always check my props for nicks or damage. Any way the props are stock Mazco's one 29 and now a 30p. The 30p just boke a couple weeks ago and prolly had less than 40min above 80mph. and it broke in calm water when lettin off about 70-75 just cruising. my propshaft seems fine and true and my lower does have a swept skeg. any help would b great thnx.

if you slung a blade once i can bet your shaft is bent. I wouldnt keep running it like that. find a wire cloths hanger, open it up and clamp one end to cavitation plate and bend the other end to almost touch the threads on the shaft then rotate the shaft. you will see if its bent by the distance between the 2.
