I need lower unit sugestions

I have a 18 ft action speed boat with 1989 yamaha 200 and 26 pitch prop and jack plate the motor has a 20 inch shaft do they make a coversion proformance lower unit maybe a away to make it shorter. the boat is fast but to plane it it draws alot of water and jack plate must remain all the way up it looks like a tower behind my boat. any sugestions

does yamaha or any other company make a shorter lower unit like the merc"s have. that i can bolt on like a shorter mid section and lower unit

Get rid of the Y and get one of those Black Motors with a 20" mid and a CLE or Sportmaster. You'll be Glad you did.:thumbsup:
