Mine it turned the other way too.

But it doesn't stick totally into the nylock of the nut.

So, I locktited it, and check it EVERY trip out.

Still on without any loostening.

Have not had any problems yet however thanks for the concern. i am going to check it. could not use a longer bolt it would not angle enough to get back in the hole. maybe i should have changed it when i had the mid off this winter. thanks guys i will let you know. Ben

I cut a small hole in the pan to allow the bolt to be lowered into place instead of angleing it like you were talking about.

A plug from Lowes snapped right into the hole and no leaks !
