I HATE this F-N throttle!!!

Geezus I hate this f**kin thing, can someone give me a crash course on how it works correctly?

I mean it's loose, I can barely figure out where the stopping and starting points are and I have NO CLUE whether it's in gear or not.

I know that the button is suppose to go in and out, but I'm not sure wich way is to put it in gear and which way is for throttle.

It's too late for this year to change it, but can someone give me some info on how to operate it correctly???

Supposed to pull the button out to get it to throttle without going into gear. That's a morse shifter. As far as where F-N-R are, there should be a detent ball in that unit and it should be pretty positive. If thetere is no detent, then the ball is either too loose or fell out.

What kinda' boat? I've also seen 'em on jets and they don't use a detent.
