Eight years of fun, fast, and safe boating. That is a mark many would have said was impossible. It is a tribute to everyone who has ever attended. This year was awsome....the sun was out, the bugs left us alone, and the lake provided just enough flat water to send everyone home broke.
I was asked 1000 times, how many boat...of course 998 of those times was Stokernick....hard to tell with him if he forgot he asked or if he was going to ask until I provided a count....anyway....I have a list of 28 boats total that were present to Romp over the five days. Hydrostream is still king beating Summerford designs (my Stratos and George's Laser included) 9 to 7. Yamaha tied OMC this year by arriving in a crowd of 3. Dam run was a little scattered this year waiting on the new guys....we didn't synch our watches at the banquet this year and the early morning rain made everyone itchy to start. I think I was the first legal boat to the dam.:D It was great to see most weren't made out of sugar and were not deterred by rain. We were nicely blown dry on the 21 mile the trek back. Casualities did occur but none of the extremely painful Thursday or Friday afternoon Romper stompers:reddevil: Special thanks to Stokernick this year for all the extra help he provided me and many thanks to the Romp Vets that show great hospitality to all in food, drink, and navigation. I pretty much just attend this thing like everyone else now.
Last couple of things...if you ordered shirts and did not get them but would like them please PM me by this weekend with an address, otherwise I will release them to the public. Once the shirts are gone I will make a contribution to S&F on behalf of the Rondak Romp....we all know without S&F there would be no Romp and there would be no photos of the caliber Maureeen provides. Maureen you rock...thanks for the beautiful sunburst calendar photo of the World's fastest Stratos VT Ski!!
Lastly if you had fun I have one last favor to ask...please go to:

We are still in a time in war and I don't believe there has ever been a time in US history that those of us stateside have had to sacrifice so little, while those fighting sacrifice so much. Thanks to those that pitched in toward my contribution, I appreciate it more than you know.
