Spent some time this spring going over our 17' ski boat. Sanded and polished the hull, added the new (to us) 115 Opti and went through the rest of the boat. The hull is a 1990 and was used as a camp boat so it has not had an easy life.

No, not for sale. It's my wife's boat and she would never agree to that.

The 17 J has the best proportions to my eye. Of course I'd be happy with any size of J.
Does John S still make 17 or just 19?

John makes the 19.
If I knew I could work 10 more years, I'd buy one.

I grew up on the transom of a 17ft with a 150blackmax, and a (I think) a 19ft Sterndrive Jcraft.
Im told there were only a few sterndriver made.
Love the design
Very nice looking JCraft! Timeless looks. There are still a couple of 17's running on our lake.

The 17 is all you could want to teach and for general family use. Hard code adult skiers would opt for V6 powered 19, but I'm sure my kids will point that out to me when the time comes.
