D60 package sale Q?

What's the guru's opinion of this package and price. I'm just looking for a step up from my SD750. And the D50 seems like it lacks some manual features.

Very good camera, and although the lenses in that deal are very "plastic", they work well. That would be a pretty big step up from any point and shoot in terms of image quality and performance.

Yea, I was guessing the lenses were not top of the line, but then I won't be trying to sell any pics anytime soon.:cool:

So I guess the question is is the body good enough for now with the ability to upgrade the lenses at a later date.

One other question. My SD750 has a 3X zoom. The 200mm says its a 3.6X zoom. Thats not a big difference. So what would I be gaining going DSLR as far as shooting my daughter showing a horse from across the arena? The SD is worthless in a big indoor (even well lit) arena.

Bigger optics so more light? Better quality for futher croping? Just wonder if its worth it for my situation???
